Sign Up For EmailOn Tuesday, May 4, the Indianapolis hospitality community gathered as an industry for the first time in 419 days. As a city and a community, we reflected on the past year, celebrated our accomplishments in 2020, and looked towards the future of our industry in the Circle City.
We welcomed over 250 in-person attendees to the Sagamore Ballroom in the Indianapolis Convention Center during this hybrid event. Mayor Joe Hogsett announced Indy's entire hospitality community as this year's ROSE Award and Bill McGowan Leadership Award recipient. Visit Indy President & CEO Leonard Hoops gave a “State of Tourism” update on our region’s forward momentum.
While there is still a long road to recovery, we are finally seeing the light ahead. Tourism is rebounding, front line employees are back at work, and new businesses have opened their doors.
May brings back tradition, June brings back tradeshows, and 2021 marks the start of a new moment for the Circle City.
The resiliency of Indy over the past year is real. The momentum we’re feeling is real. Simply put, Indy was made for this moment.
